That Shit Kray
The hit song "Ni**as in Paris" by Kanye West and Jay-Z has a very catchy hook that goes, "That S**t Kray." People confuse it for "Cray" and believe it's just a shortened term of the word "Crazy." Many people actually don't know the true meaning of the word and use it as if it were the word "crazy." What people don't know is that it actually stands for the notorious Kray Twins of London who became feared in their social environment and celebrities in the 1950s and 1960s. The Kray Twins were involved in armed robberies, arson, protection rackets, violent assaults inclusing the torture and the murders of Jack "The Hat" McVitie and George Cornell. The London Police attempted to capture the Twins in many occasions but failed for many times before they were actually captured. Thus the lyrics of the song go "Ball so hard motherf***ers wanna fine me, but first Ni**as gotta find me ." Kanye and Jay's ingenious word play makes "Kray" have the same meaning of "Crazy."
